Sweet Little Cadbury

Sweet little Cadbury was dumped at East Valley Shelter on Halloween Eve, 2022, and had been living the sad shelter life until January 14th -- when she was severely hurt at the shelter, and her sadness and pain quadrupled!

⚠️East Valley Shelter medical notes stated the following -- and it is a CAUTIONARY TALE regarding the risks of picking up bunnies and/or handling them improperly or unnecessarily:
"Patient was dropped on the floor while handling by a citizen from the public or a volunteer. Limping on right rear leg, pain on palpation. Right rear leg appears painful in the right knee. No crepitus was noted in the long bones but needs radiographs."

We rescued Cadbury from the shelter nightmare with the goal of making her life a dream come true. Now that she is healed and ready for adoption into a happy life, who will be the lucky human to give this sweet soul the love and feeling of safety she desperately needs?

Help Us Save Stevie!

‼️We're aiming to make today the day this poor little boy gets help... Please meet Stevie -- this 2.7Lb, 6-month-old, scared, fragile bunny who appears to have survived an animal attack and has been left at South L.A. Shelter in rough shape -- we need to help him and get him into the hospital... and love him...

Shelter medical history reports alopecia with excoriations around eyes, and behind his neck and ears. Right eye was bleeding around the eye and has wounds.

There are also wounds on his ears.
😞The condition of poor Stevie tells a grim story of his life so far, and he needs a thorough exam from our Vet, and to be brought into loving foster care...
Stevie's life must change starting now. We need someone nice to take pity and foster him and let him feel safe and loved in their home after he leaves the hospital, and we'll work hard to find him the best forever human possible.

If you'd like to provide a safe haven for little Stevie while we work for him, please email info@bunnyworldfoundation.org with subject: "I WILL FOSTER STEVIE" (Foster-hopefuls local to Los Angeles or surrounding only)

πŸ’”It's very painful to see a sweet, delicate little bunny this way and imagine the encounters that caused his injuries and fear. But it's immeasurably more painful for Stevie to have had no protection from harm and end up hurt, scared of touch, and dumped at a shelter.

We'll eventually provide him neuter surgery so that he can have a little ladybun to love and be loved by in the bunny way. If you have a single bun, please consider this adorable little bub as your bunny's bonded friend.

BWF is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue that requires new fosters in order to rescue new in-need bunnies. We're hoping that you'll help with Stevie's new life by chipping in for his medical care. Any amount is tremendously appreciated, as it all adds up...

πŸ“ŒAnd lastly, Northwood Animal Hospital will process call-in donations of $100 or more: Phone: (949) 559-1992
😊We thank you so kindly should you choose to support this effort for Stevie. Everyone who contributes is part of his team and is responsible for giving him a second chance to be a happy bunny who forgets his painful past.

πŸ™Please reach out to us with your wish to help this little boy via fostering. We're standing by for good news... and please share in order to increase his chances of finding a foster mom or dad... maybe you?

Much Love,
~BWF Volunteers

ASTAIRE

❀️‍Astaire rescue update & fundraiser~~ Sweet little boy, Astaire was Euth-Alerted at West Valley Shelter for coccidia and G.I. Stasis. We rescued him on that Saturday, JAN. 7, hospitalized him, and he ended up also needing surgery on a mass that our Vet discovered on his sternum.

Astaire is doing fine now, and we're seeking a lovely foster for him while we plan his happy future: bunny wife and forever human. He's such a sweet, darling boy, and we're thrilled to be helping him hop into a new chapter of his life.

If you'd like to see this dear little fella through to adoption, please email us at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org with subject: "FOSTERING ASTAIRE"

Astaire's been hospitalized since Saturday, and is estimated to reach as much as $2,000 so far, so we must try to chip-away at that and hope you can help us. Each Wednesday is BWF day at Northwood Animal Hospital, and eleven of our rescued bunnies are being seen there today...

❀️‍If you're able to spare a bit for little Astaire, please visit www.bunnyworldfoundation.org/donate/ -- every donation makes a difference, as it all adds up!

😊We thank you so kindly should you choose to support our efforts to save and treat the unwanted, sick, injured, forgotten bunnies like Astaire. Without you, we could not provide their second chances to be shown the respect they deserve, and to live happily...

ROGERETTE

⚠️Rogerette is Orange-Alerted (she faces euthanasia) at Harbor Shelter. (sound on) πŸ™Please watch this short video -- this poor bunny has a serious malformation of her left front foot which needs attention from out Vet...

Rogerette is part of a bonded pair that we WILL NOT separate, so we need a merciful foster to take the two best friends in and provide TLC while we uncover what is going on with Rogerette's foot, and tend to both little girls.

Can you help us save this sweet soul? If you can find a spot in your home, and have the heart to help her, please email us at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org with subject line:
"SAVING ROGERETTE" -- We'll provide housing equipment.

πŸ™Please don't hesitate to take loving action for this bunny. This gentle girl deserves a chance. We can't save her without a foster and the funds for her medical care.

BWF is an all-volunteer, foster-based struggling rescue that has no facility. We need a new foster. *(Los Angeles or surrounding only).
We're standing by to hear from you.
Thank you,

FROM SEAACA HELLHOLE to HEAVEN ON EARTH...

πŸ‘‹β˜ΊοΈRescue Update on NOLAN~~This beautiful white & gold treasure who was scheduled to be put to sleep last November at infamous SEAACA Shelter. We pulled him from SEAACA during one of the many times they put healthy bunnies on the kill list... but now -- πŸ₯³NOLAN HAS BEEN ADOPTED!πŸŽ‰*Hoppy Dance*

πŸ’˜Our wonderful adopter - British beauty, Grace and her darling son are seen here with their little bungirl, Daphne as she goes on her first date with handsome boy, Nolan during a BWF adoption event. Lower right is the happy couple sharing cozy love in their forever home following their bonding bunnymoon with us...

πŸ–Both bunnies are spayed/neutered, of course, and Nolan's adopted name is now Dominic -- aww, Dominic & Daphne, that has a nice ring. Some words from our lovely adopter (imagine a thick British accent):
❀️❝Dominic/Nolan is soo, so sweet. Daphne is quite a cow to him, but he doesn't seem to be bothered... and Daphne LOVES him, really…..❞~BWF adopter, Grace B.

πŸ‘‰In case you missed Nolan's story -- here's the rescue mission that included him: https://www.facebook.com/BunnyWorldFoundation/posts/pfbid02iAjwaLnHCaeJkhVFrc31mpwz6FUSQoVad7yBVtDssdS7iEXERDuRCbefT6oPb7WHl

πŸ‘‰Nolan while still at SEAACA high-kill shelter: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=447387214206164&set=pcb.447404564204429

We want to make you smile, and wish we had time to post every adoption success; it's literally impossible. But every now & then we have to make time to remind our friends here that joyful things are always happening in the background of this rescue, and we continually dedicate endless hours to screening, educating, approving and mentoring forever humans for our sweet bunnies...

We place bunnies with wonderful, approved adopters during each of our adoption events. In the first week of January 2023, we adopted-out 19 of our precious rescued bunnies. Imagine trying to keep up with adoption updates week after week... no way.

πŸ™But we hope you'll feel happy for Nolan -- a once unwanted, kill-listed boy sitting alone in a hell-hole shelter... and now he's in love, cherished, and will never want for anything for the rest of his life.

Entrusting others with our beloved bunnies is incredibly hard and we never stop worrying. It should never be underestimated how deeply we love them, and how far we go to ensure their life-long safety.

Thank you to our amazing adopters and fosters who live up to the bunnies' hopes and dreams; in our opinion -- they're the finest humans on this planet.

πŸ“ŒIf you have a single bun, and are interested in finding him or her a friend, or interested in adding to your bunny family in order to make a sad bunny happy, please email us at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org with subject: "BWF ADOPTION" -- We're located in Los Angeles, CA.

Thank you so much for hanging in there with us as we handle the complexities that must precede rescue updates. Tomorrow is another day, and we hope to have news for you regarding bunnies of concern.
Much love,
~BWF Volunteers
