Please help -- Valerie deserves a chance!

Please help -- Valerie deserves a chance! This poor baby was left as a "stray" at South L.A. Shelter with shocking injuries -- two broken hind legs bent outwards with exposed desiccated bones. Among other things, she was underweight, and had severe ear mites with heavily encrusted Pinna Perichondritis. We're in desperate need of funds to help this precious 8-mo-old, 3Lb little girl who we rescued from EXTREME ORANGE ALERT -- she was to be put to sleep if we didn't get her immediately.

We rushed Valerie to the hospital, where she's been ever since. We've consulted with an 'Orthopedic Surgeon' who had this to say:

"Upon examining Valerie's case -- she seems very active and happy -- disabled, but functional. Valerie has two prominent bones where the skin has eroded around the bone. Advised to cut 2-3 inches of the infected area, and to clean the wounds. To rod the legs would be a disaster... less is more, as the surgery will already be high-risk."

Dr. Roberts:

"So far, Valerie's bill is at $1,168.60 -- with potentially more than $3,700.00 for her surgery and ongoing care. The plan is to remove the infected tissue on her right hind leg, and let her ambulate like she has been doing. Then amputate slightly below the left side knee, and see if she's able to get around without traumatizing the stump. There is a chance she might require further surgery later on if she exhibits having mobility issues with the stumps."

Our current Northwood Animal Hospital invoice - (which doesn't yet include the bills for Valerie, Woodly, and Mimi) - is $12,749.23 -- and Valerie alone will add more than $4,800.00 to that. After the severity of miserable hardships and injuries this poor soul has endured and survived, we are committed to doing everything in our power to give Valerie a new life of happiness, proper care, and so much love she won't know what to do with herself.

Please consider helping toward Valerie's new life... as well as our numerous ill and injured rescued bunnies receiving medical care.

We have the "Donate" button... but here are various options if you'd like to chip-in... any amount is wonderful -- it all adds up.

Lost & Found Resources: Petco Love Lost

https://support.partners.petcolove.org/hc/en-us/articles/4549050444691-Partner-Guide-for-Website-Presence

Petco Love is on a mission to reunite lost pets with their families by creating a single, central, national lost and found pet search.  The Petco Love Lost database uses facial recognition technology to help reunite lost pets with their families should they ever go missing. It’s free and easy to use for animal welfare professionals, and unlike shelter software, pet parents, lost pet advocates, and good neighbors can use it too.

Woodly Needs Your Help!

Poor baby. We'd never seen an injury quite like that. Woodly is a sweet little 3.36Lb, 2-year-old girl we pulled from Orange-Alerted (euthanize at any time) at West Valley Shelter due to a large black mass on her left shoulder; an extremely terrible bleeding melanoma that required immediate surgery and biopsy.
We rushed Woodly to our Vet where she's received the emergency surgery, along with a number of other treatments and molar trim. We'll have the results of the biopsy soon, but this very brave little girl is recovering nicely... and believe it or not, she is ready to leave the hospital... but we have no foster home for her to go to!
We're appealing to your compassionate hearts for Woodly's sake, as she needs a nice peaceful foster home in which to rest and receive comfort and nurturing TLC from a gentle human. If you will help her through her full recovery, and just keep her comfortable and nourished, PLEASE email us right away at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org with subject line: "I WILL LOVE WOODLY IN MY HOME"
Medical care for this sweet girl is starting out around $2,500 (see album), and she'll need follow-up Vet visits. If you'd like to help toward her medical costs, it would be greatly appreciated, as our Vet balance is already climbing past $17K even after we made the big payment. (We had 16 rabbits seen at the hospital on Wednesday, and some remain hospitalized).
🤞We have the "Donate" button... but here are various options if you'd like to chip-in... any amount is wonderful -- it all adds up.

Thank you very kindly, and please consider loving this sweet angel in your home while we tend to all of her physical and emotional needs... and make it up to her for all that she's endured. She now has a bright future of proper love and care, and bunny companionship when she's ready to meet some husbun candidates. We can't wait to see her bask in all that...
