If you e-mail us we will send you the following for your review:

 

Please e-mail us your completed adoption application (if you haven’t already!) and, if possible, include the earliest date to adopt. While we do our best to respond as quickly as possible, please allow 48 hours for a response to your submitted application. Once we contact you, we will discuss in more detail the next steps in adopting your new bunny(ies).   Please remember BWF is ALL-VOLUNTEER and FOSTER-BASED rescue.  While this is a labor of love, labor it is.  We ask you to be patient, kind, and understanding. We do this for the love of the bunnies and the humans who love them.   All the donation and fees go towards our medical bills and supplies.

 

We have 300+ bunnies available for adoption, and work by appointment only.  Not all of the bunnies in our care are advertised on Petfinder (https://www.petfinder.com/search/pets-for-adoption/?shelter_id%5B0%5D=CA1471&sort%5B0%5D=recently_added)  because we just can’t get to it quickly enough. We will, however, need your application and the photo of your set up in order to pre-approve you and schedule an apt. If you do not wish to fill out the adoption application, but would like to stop by the adoption event to say hi to the bunnies, that’s fine too. Just remember, we can only bring 50-60 bunnies to the adoption and they may not be the ones you want to meet unless you’re pre-approved.  We don’t adopt to walk-ins and bring the bunnies that fit the needs of the adopters who have been pre-approved.

 

Our Adoption events are on Sundays from 1 - 4pm OR 3 – 6pm at PETCO Pasadena (845 S Arroyo Pkwy, Pasadena, CA 91105).  Please let us know if you can make it and what time you'd like us to set up an appointment for.  Typically, we schedule the adoption appointments at an hour increments and would ask you to allocate at least a couple of hours to spend at our adoption event in order to fully take advantage of our protocol and to meet the bunny of your life!

 

If you already have a rabbit, please include the following information within your application:

 

  • Age, Sex, Breed, and Weight of your rabbit.
  • How long you’ve had the rabbit.
  • When was your rabbit neutered/spayed?
  • Has the fecal test been done and if so, when?
  • When was the last time your rabbit was professionally groomed/brushed?
  • Include the photo of your rabbit and his/her habitat.

 

If you adopt a mate for your bunny from Bunny World Foundation, we offer a complimentary bonding ordeal and are happy to take your bunny and ours on Bunnymoon for 7 days. Once you arrive at the adoption, you will be assigned a mentor.  You’ll be given a brushing demo, and you will be invited to a private inner circle group for an on-going support as long as you remain a member in good standing.

 

Once the adoption has taken place, you will be forwarded all the information about the bunnies, and you will get TWO vouchers for TWO free exams at TWO vets (VCA West Los Angeles and Northwood Animal Hospital in Irvine).  You have 30 days to redeem those. We will also provide a voucher for 50% off the regular exam for your own bunny if you have one.
