ANOTHER HOSPITALIZED BROKEN LEGGED AMPUTEE, BOK CHOY, NEEDS HELP!
Email Article | Friday, March 10, 2017
Two months ago, we rescued Buttons from East Valley Animal shelter (LAAS) who had a broken leg. The pin surgery was successful, his leg saved, and Buttons is up for adoption now. Then, there was Honey, a month later from the West Valley Animal shelter (LAAS) with a broken leg that was ALSO pinned and is healing nicely. Not out of the woods yet, but at least no amputation on the horizon.
Bok Choy was found by a Good Samaritan, and surrendered to Bunny World Foundation. He was emaciated, in pain, and on the brink of dying. Even the vet refused to do surgery on him due to his skeletal state. The Bunny Lady took him in for a couple of weeks, syringe fed him, stabilized him and got him to the point where surgery was now possible.
Unfortunately, Bok Choy was not as lucky as Buttons and Honey, and his leg needed to be amputated. He’s been hospitalized for almost a month and we’d like to get him out TODAY is possible. There’s a possible adopter next weekend, but the funds are needed to cover his Vet Bill.
Dr. Roberts says: “I think Bok Choy will do fine. He's really tough and seems to already be hopping around pretty well.” 😊
Bok Choy is currently hospitalized, undergoing the post-surgery treatment. WE NEED FOSTER WILLING TO WORK WITH A DISABLED BUNNY. IF YOU CAN HELP, PLEASE E-MAIL US at info@bunnyworldfoudation.org.
IN ADDITION, BWF needs the additional $2,500 to cover Radiology, Amputation Surgery, Recheck Films, and, Hospitalization, and Medication. If you’re able to donate towards BOK CHOY, please call our vet directly or donate via Paypal to info@bunnyworldfoundation.org.
For donations, less than $100, you can make an ON-LINE DONATION via PAYPAL at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org or at http://www.bunnyworldfoundation.org/donate/
DIRECT DONATIONS TO THE VET ARE THE MOST APPRECIATED. If you can help now, please call Northwood Animal Hospital at (949) 559-1992 and make a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donation towards Bok Choy’s Medical bill. The vet only accepts $100+ donations.
Please remember, BWF is an ALL-VOLUNTEER, NON-PROFIT 501(c)3 animal welfare organization with 300+ volunteers/fosters working around the clock to save lives of babies and adults alike. Every week we take bunnies from the death row from LAAS and other situations. Our volunteers are funding the care of their own fosters, providing supplies, and often paying for the surgeries and medical bills. BWF has no paid staff, and with our limited resources we are doing our very best to help the little ones. But our VET BILLS are piling up and we need your help TODAY!
Finally, please CONSIDER DONATING MONTHLY even if it’s just a few dollars. http://www.bunnyworldfoundation.org/donate/
Thank you so much!
